Every quarter, we take you beyond the familiar and into the realm of the completely experiential. This is where travel becomes something deeper. More immersive. More imaginative. Where the journey is shaped by curiosity, creativity, and an appetite for the extraordinary.
This edition is all about the remote. Places at the edge of the world, where nature remains vast and unfiltered.
These are journeys defined not by convenience, but by wonder.
From Rails to Waves: Corsica & Liguria by Orient Express Sailing Yachts
More than a century after the first Orient Express journey, the iconic name is now taking to the sea. In 2026, the Orient Express Corinthian will launch as the world’s largest sailing yacht, offering just 54 suites and six beautifully designed penthouse suites with private terraces and jacuzzis. Expect the elegance of the original Orient Express trains, reimagined with expansive ocean views, refined materials and generous personal space.

The Corsica & Liguria itinerary is a 7-night voyage from Marseille to Monte Carlo, tracing wild coastlines, quiet coves and pastel harbours. Highlights include dining by Yannick Alléno, sunset dinners on secluded estates, forest hikes, marble quarry visits, and time to enjoy the yacht’s onboard calm between anchorages.
Edge of the Earth: Fogo Island Inn, Newfoundland
Fogo Island Inn sits on stilts above the wild North Atlantic, with just 29 suites, each facing the open ocean. Interiors feel warm and thoughtful, with handcrafted quilts, wood-burning stoves and furniture made by local artisans. The Inn operates as a social enterprise, reinvesting profits directly back into the community, and much of the food and design is sourced from the island itself.

Guests can spend days whale or iceberg watching, meeting local makers, soaking in the rooftop hot tubs, and stargazing under some of the clearest skies in Canada — with possible aurora sightings in the right season.
A Private Aquarium: THE MURAKA at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island
et on its own private jetty, THE MURAKA is a two-level residence offering overwater living above and a master bedroom beneath the sea. Five metres below the surface, curved glass walls reveal the reef in motion - creating the feeling of sleeping inside a living aquarium.

Above, there are expansive terraces, a private infinity pool, and generous indoor-outdoor living spaces for families or groups. Arrive by private seaplane or speedboat and settle in with a 24-hour butler and chef, plus tailored experiences such as underwater explorations, guided stargazing or spa rituals at sunset.
Off-Grid Expeditions in Turkana: Take flight in Kenya
For travellers seeking true remoteness, Turkana feels like another world. More people have climbed Everest than experienced this flight, this is a total one-off, never to be forgotten. Vast volcanic ridges, jade-green lakes and ancient desert landscapes form the backdrop to a journey entirely untouched by mass tourism.

Travel is by helicopter, flying over the Rift Valley and landing on remote islands where you’ll sleep in canvas tents under unpolluted, star-filled skies. Days are spent exploring lava fields and petrified forests, and meeting the Turkana people, whose traditions have endured for millennia.
Inimitable Vistas: Tierra Patagonia
Set on the edge of Torres del Paine, Tierra Patagonia looks directly onto the national park’s iconic granite spires, with floor-to-ceiling views in every room. The architecture blends quietly into the landscape, so the mountains and Lake Sarmiento feel like part of the interior itself.

Days unfold with guided excursions — from catamaran crossings on Lake Pehoé to hikes with sweeping glacier views — while afternoons invite time in the glass-fronted Uma Spa or the warm, wood-lined lounges watching clouds shift across the peaks.
A stay here is as much about perspective as place — Patagonia at its most cinematic, intimate and unforgettable. Twin with Tierra Atacama to continue your Chilean discovery.
Sailing the Wilderness: True North Expedition Cruises, Australia
True North’s purpose-built luxury expedition yachts (carrying just 22–36 guests) sail into some of the most remote coastlines on earth. Their signature itineraries explore Western Australia and the Kimberley, but they also offer extraordinary journeys further afield through Indonesia, West Papua and Papua New Guinea.
Cabins feature wide picture windows for constant wilderness views, and dining highlights fresh Australian produce paired with regional wines. Days are spent exploring by tender, hiking to hidden waterfalls, discovering ancient rock art, snorkelling off remote reefs and, where needed, flying by onboard helicopter to reach places that are otherwise inaccessible.

Expect barramundi fishing in wild rivers, helicopter picnics on untouched plateaus, visits to ancient Indigenous rock art, island-hopping across white-sand archipelagos and close encounters with the marine life of Montgomery Reef.
